I agree, every builder can have good and bad stories. However, looking around and from what I hear, Mattamy is far superior. I mean, I live in a Mattamy home and down the road from me is a Coscorp development that have been living there well over a year and they have yet to have any sod, sidewalks, parks, etc, etc. Coscorp seems like such a shotty developer from what I see from walking around their site, I'd much rather put up with Mattamy.

For those of you who just got delayed, is this your first delay or 2nd? We've already gotten delayed from Oct 4th to Jan 23rd (notified in May) and not sure if we should be expecting another delay.

Just to let you village home owners know... I emailled Kelly today, because I am getting concerned again that there is nothing started on the village homes... we are at the 140 day mark from our delayed closing date.

I was told that the permits still have not been issued for our lot.

So there is a possibility of getting delayed more but its too early to tell. At least we are past the time period for getting a major delay, and can only get a minor delay at this point.

I'm just so tired of looking at dirt :(

they haven't even started to dig for your homes? that is really weird.... we've seen digging on Savoline and it looks like the footings are about to begin shortly (regardless of the fact that our closing are 9-10-11 months away!!!)

No, all the streets close to the train tracks have been at a stand still for months...

They dug down months ago, (they don't have to go far for ours since village homes don't have basements!) and put red sticks in showing the divisions between townhouses.

Then we were hopeful because on the weekend we noticed that just our block of townhouses had actually been dug down further, and we had lots of little stick things just in our block......

but unfortunately, until we have a permit, foundations can't be poured.

Hey Scott & Jamie,

My BIL was delayed 6 weeks with his village home. It's worth the wait though-his house looks great!!! They screwed up his kitchen, but will be fixing it.

Has anyone ever heard of widelot townhomes being delayed? It's usually the village homes, I haven't heard anything ever about the widelots.

Scott & Jaime,
I'm sorry to hear that you haven't heard anything yet. :(

RizzoLee,
ALL of the townhomes in Phase 14a were delayed...both widelots and villagehomes. The delays ranged from 3-8 weeks.

Just thought I would send out my regrets to those of you who have received delays so far.

We haven't heard anything yet, but we do expect a delay....just because of the inactivity on our house.

Oh well, we'll move in whenever we can.....

Neither were we, going from December 12 to April 9, so consider yourself lucky you didn't get delayed as long as those of us in Phase 1.

Delays are a part of new home building. You have to be realistic and know that it may happen to you. Sucks, but that's the risk we take.
