Hey all,
We're also on Van Fleet. We're near the end of the street by the walkway. Fernridge Semi.

Hi Rebecca and Matthew,

It looks like you're a few house down from us. We're at 159R closing Jan 22, 2009. When did you guys purchase?

Hi Rebecca and Matthew,
We also bought ours in November when phase 4 was first released. Actually, we camped out on Friday for Saturday opening, it was crazy but it was worth it. We bought a Fernridge Semi surprisingly part of phase 3. Are you thinking of any upgrades with your Southbury?

Yea, we met a lot of nice people while we camped out. We never thought that we'd be lining up overnight to purchase our first home either. But when we lined up, a lot of other people are in the same situation, which is nice to know.

We have an idea what we want as upgrades, but depending on the price, it may or may not happen. We want to do the basement rough-in, garage door entry to the house, glass shower door for the ensuite shower, 45 degree tiles and possibly hardwood flooring. We're probably going to change our carpet to hardwood after closing. More and more people are saying that Mattamy is charging too much to get it done. You guys are lucky to be able to see at least the partial finished product whereas we bought ours based on the floor plans. Originally, we wanted to get the Honeydale corner, but since the price went up by $20k, we stuck to our plan B.

We've visited the site a few times already, took some pictures of dirt and light posts, but still no construction yet. I just hope that the railroad noise wont be too bad even with the berm being extended further up. But I do like having green space as a back yard.

So far, its been an exciting experience. Is this your first home as well?

I was on Van Fleet Terrace on Saturday. They have started digging on some of the properties, and have already poured foundations on some lots. It appears they are working from the North to the South.

That's interesting. Were they working on the townhouses or semis? Thanks for the update.

Amanda and I will be there on the 5th :D

We also stopped by on Saturday and checked out the site. Seems like they dumped all the dirt they dug out of the north VFT and dumped in on the 227 lots! ;)

We went by last weekend and they had a lot of the holes dug for the town houses. All but the first two, 227 and I'm guessing 226.

Probably going to visit again tomorrow :D

They have started foundations on the most of the houses on the street. I think all the holes are dug, and they have placed straw inside. Many blocks have concrete pourings as well.

Didn't take any pictures? I'll have to swing by and see if lot 227 has a hole yet!

Hey Neighbours, we're lot 226-6, 1 Van Fleet Terrace.

Has anyone received a delay notice yet? I know at the "Mattamy University" they mentioned most likely 1 mth.

Nice to meet you all...
