They installed my upgraded ones too. It was in my pdi though, so when a lady in the office said "we don't install that", I showed them my pdi. Their staff member put it in, not me.

Have to say though, the Mattamy workers were really cool, and it was put in the next day. Too bad that lady in the office was a bit of a beyotch.

wow I'm surprised they did that, it says in the paperwork that they won't install any appliances if you upgrade even one of them.

Can you get the appliances delivered before you move in if you upgrade them with the brick?

You can't get the Brick to deliver your appliances if you upgraded them until the day after you close.

Mattamy isn't supposed to install your appliances if you upgrade them... but it can't hurt to ask!

We asked, and I think because there was so much left undone when we closed the builder agreed to get the plumbers to come install the stuff to keep us calm! haha :)

Whatever is in that pdi report is stuff that Mattamy has agreed they still have to do. They put "Install Fridge, Stove, and Dishwasher" in there, so they can't blame me for asking them to do it. I really only needed them to do the dishwasher.

Like I said, the builder guy was very cool about it though. I still gotta get my dad to raise up my stove though. I wasn't gonna harass Mattamy for that. ;)

Mine came with instructions with it on how to install it. I would think most would.

Walter appliance installations 416-702-7149 (Max). He did a very clean install, I think its was $45 labour and 30 for parts but don't quote me.

Can anyone recommend a company or person who does this...cheap but professionally :) It would be nice if Mattamy would rough-in the plumbing since they already know where the diswahser placement is in every home based on their own cabinet designs

Another issue we had...the upgrade LCD/plasma TV cable piping inside the wall was not even connected! One pipe ran to the basement and the other pipe was not even connected! They had to come back and drill through the floor to find the second pipe!

Not sure I understand. If this was for above a fireplace, then there should have been an opening above the fireplace for a pipe that runs down into the basement to another pipe opening in the basement ceiling.
