Hi fellow VISTA phasers...my wife and bought a Wood Lily (elev. A) on lot 21. We are very excited and can not wait to move in. Our closing date is July 30, 2009. Anyone else on our street or close by?

We have been to the design centre too. We didn't find it a waste, but at the same time, we weren't very enthusiastic due to the lack of 'stuff' for our model.

Does anyone know when the new model homes by Mattamy will be completed? We are trying to go to as many model homes as we can, to get decorating ideas.

Welcome Don&Carmen!

I agree with everything Milo said. I'm sure you will love not having anyone infront of you and you will have a great natural view of the woods etc. And now that you have met your backyard neighbour you can work out the fencing issues well before taking possession!

I will add your lot and closing to the master list on the first page.

Any other new VISTites out there? How are all the current new owners doing? Any news from the design center? Anyone picked out brick colours yet? Just checking in to see if there are any updates at all.....

Welcome SDF! You are only a couple houses away from LesleyRichard :) What model of the Wood Lily did you buy? It was one of the models we were looking at buying. Congrats!

Hi everyone,

Did you know that you can all the city of Milton's planning department and find out what is tentatively planned for your lot?

I phoned the other day and found out that we do not have an electrical green box, and that we do have a fire hydrant (on the left) and a sidewalk on our lot.

Phone the planning department and ask to get transferred to the engineering department, they have all the details.

I don't have the numbers handy right now, but if you google them you should be able to find them.

Also note that the engineering department's lot numbers differ from those of Mattamy's - my lot was #100 on their site plan, and not #72.

It may be easier to visit the department in person. They mentioned that the plans were tentative, but this gives you an idea of what to expect.

Just thought I'd share some info.

Great info MandinM! Thanks!

I spoke with someone there and found out for sure that we do not have a sidewalk on our side, there are no greenboxes or utilities and all we have is a street light on our property. Now if only I could find out the name of street G then i'll be all set. lol

That's awesome. I wish we didn't have a sidewalk but I'm on a main street so I expected it.

I forgot to ask about the street light - I suspect that we would have one of those as well.

hi there! We bought a Balsam ("B") on lot 73, next door to MandM. Our closing is September 2009, which at this point seems very very far away! It's nice to meet all of you.

Hi there! I'm so glad to "meet" my new neighbour! We close in October 2009, and we purchased a Mill Brook "A".

It's all very exciting.

No problem SDF, i'm glad that you were able to get some info on your lot. Hmmmm I wonder what kind of revisions they are doing to the neighbourhood...

BREAKING NEWS!!! :D

I just stopped in at the Mattamy sales office and was told that there will probably be a new release in VISTA this Saturday (no guarantees though of course). They are closed on Friday so no preview but I'll be there Saturday morning to check the lots out and see if there is any price increase. From what I can see there are probably about 20 or so lots remaining in 1A
