I also went to the design centre on the weekend and spoke to one of the ladies there. She said that September/October-ish is when they will know who the VISTA cabinet supplier is. But not to get too excited because they still are very undecided on who they are going with (have about 6 companies in the line up). She also mentioned that they try to keep everything the same, so she believes the tiles, carpets, back splashes, granite, etc will be the same (if not similar) to what they already have in stock. She said they often come out with new concepts so there may be more to choose from when its our turn! Cant wait.

We went by earlier this evening and saw the blue heron again! I'll send you a pic.

I think we figured out what lot we are on. we are right in front of the hill full of greenery just behind what I figure is Pringle. That hill looks like it's on the very corner of the school that the homes will back on.

We also stopped by the sales centre and noticed the 4 lots next to us 142 - 146 (or so) have not yet been released, but lots 147 and on have been released. I wonder why they wouldn't release them but release lots on either side of them...*nervous*

That is a bit odd.

Also I'm curious as to what's going in the triangular-shaped "Future Development" at the corner of Tremaine and Pringle next to the creek/pond. I phoned and asked the Mattamy people and they said that it will be more single detached houses, but I think it's a bit of an odd shape to put many houses there.

We drove up to the site this weekend and indeed the site markers do not correspond to the Mattamy lot numbers, however you can check with the town planning and engineering dept. at 555 industrial and they can tell you what your lot number is according to their plans. Our lot is 46 with the town and 184 with Mattamy for instance. It appears that the lots are divided by the stakes whereby they actually seem to mark two lots with one stake.

Didnt see the heron but will look for it the next time!!

We also did see the blue and green pipes so they may be working on the irrigation soon. I believe they build the pond, parks and school facilities earlier than the homes.

We shall see...

Thanks for the info, I'll be sure to stop by the town planning and engineering department. When I spoke with them last my lot number was 100. I'd also like to verify what they told me on the phone that was on my lot - fire hydrant, no electrical box, sidewalk. I wonder also if they know the location of the streetlights.

Hi SDF
The Ministry of Education has approved funding for three elementary schools for September 2009 opening including a public school in the Scott neighbourhood north of Derry Road.

You can now also drive south on Scott Blvd. from Main St. W. to Pringle Ave. to access the rear of the site.

In case anyone is wondering about the sounds in the evenings there is a small pack of coyotes that live in the forest at present that occassionally howl late at night.

Welcome Amanda&Zoltan! I'm glad that Richard and Lesley were able to convince you to join the community. I'm sure you'll enjoy it and get a ton of information as well. I've added your lot, location etc. into the master list on the first page of this thread. Congrats on your new home. :D

Hi Abridgel,

The maps given out at the sales centre have the additional lots that were released a few weekends ago. They haven't updated it online yet. Is there a particular area, street or lot that you were looking for? I can see if I can get my husband to scan it and then I can post it.

Hi ButtaFly - if you could scan and post from lot 178 and up that would be great

I don't want to give away what lot we are looking at exactly :)

congratulations abridgel for finally taking the plunge! :D I'm sorrythat I didn't post the scan of the Vista map but our scanner is not working at the moment and my husband is trying to fix it.

I'll add your information to the first page. When do you close?

Hi StephandSean

So nice to meet one of the neighbours on my side of Nunn Crescent!! We're on lot 90 so just a few doors down from you! We purchased the Juneberry, elevation c but it was a hard decision to make between the Juneberry and the Hazlenut because the floor plans are so similar. If you run a search you may find some people who have purchased that model.

I have also added you both on the list of Vista Phase 1A owners on the first page.

Congrats on your purchase and welcome to the board :D
