I have been driving my Murano AWD SE since 2004. Never used premium gas and never had a problem. If you compare apples to apples Murano is best in class against all other SUV’s in the market. I love the CVT engine, very smooth.

These are mpg by the EPA. Expect less in real life.


2005 CRV: City 20 Highway 25 Mixed 22 Engine 2.4 l
2005 Murano: City 19 Highway 23 Mixed 20 Engine 3.5 l
2005 Pilot: City 15 Highway 20 Mixed 17 Engine 3.5 l
2007 Jeep (D): City 17 Highway 22 Mixed 19 Engine 3.0 l(Diesel)

The Hondas don't seem that great in fuel economy to me.

You mean CVT transmission (Continuously variable transmission)?
