Just found a black and white cat, not fully grown, but not quite a kitten. Put him/her in my garage, never see Cats on my street so not sure if he's just wondering around or if he is lost. Will keep him for a couple of hours and then let him go if no one calls...905-876-9216 on Cousens Terrace.

We couldn't find any postings online on on mailboxes for a missing cat so we let her go. We watched her from a distance for a while and she ended up hiding in our neighbours yard. We figured if she knew how to get home she would have gone. So, we took her back in for the night and hopefully someone will call us tomorrow about her. We tried to see if it was a boy or girl and can't see any man parts dangling around...so it's probably a girl!

I am sure someone will come on here and post about her. If anything, you can give the Oakville Humane a call to see if anyone logged in a missing cat call with the description. Save another family from the grief of a pet loss.

With all these posts lately about lost pets, it's cute to find a cat that isn't scared of strangers, since most are.

I think if a lost cat ever found his/her way to me without a neck tag, I would probably house it as well for a few days and post on here until someone claimed it, or call the Humane Society. I'll have to put a few cans of cat food to my grocery list for this week. :)

If you can, take the cat into one of the vets in town and get them to scan for a microchip. They will usually do this free of charge.

We ended up calling the Oakville Humane Society and they had a driver in the area so they picked her up. They checked and she's not micro-chipped so they will be keeping her hoping that someone claims her. She's so loving, if we didn't already have a cat (who is unsocial and doesn't like other cats!) we would have loved to keep her. Call the Oakville Humane Society at (905) 845-1551 if you are missing her.
