LOL, I still have foundation.

I guess ours is the fire break-the set of 3 just north of us, and the set of 5 just south of us have at least their first floor up, and some have second stories being worked on. Ours in the middle has nothing but the foundation. :)

101 days, no framework, hmmm... Do I smell a delay coming? :P

Any of us still waiting for possession?

We're in! We love it! It's still new to us, but it's wearing off. :)

We don't close until the end of July. We have our Framewalk on Monday at 8am. I've already printed off the list that Greg put together that I found from a post from quite a long time ago.

Not yet. We were there last night and no grass for us.
It does look like they will be doing a drive way soon though.

We have our PDI on wednesday I will ask a bunch of questions and post what i find out!

Had our PDI today although the house isn't finished, still need counters, mirrors, closet doors, water hooked up etc. Other than the stairs (not finished well at all) and our cabinets being scratched not much to complain about. Hopefully they will fix the stairs before we move in, I really don't want to be there when they have to sand them.

Of course there are all the little marks here and little scratches there.

The mattamy employee was very helpful, even pointed out things we missed or hadn't got to yet, we were there for just over 2 hours (we didn't want to miss anything) But overall wasn't to bad and we left feeling like the stuff would get done. Fingers crossed.

I am glad overall it went well for you.

Did they happen to mention when the sod would be going in?

No, the lady was from the warrantee office, they don't know things like that. We tried to find out when the drive ways would be in and stuff, but she didn't know.

TThorpe - glad it turned alright for you!

We got our driveways last week, so about 6 weeks after closing. Sidewalks were about 5 weeks after closing for us (May 29th).

We were told sod would be sometime this year. We were also told it would be done by the time we moved in when we first bought in October 2006 though, lol.

I am hoping with the sidewalks aready in the driveways will not be far behind and the grass? Who knows when that will actually get done. But I'm sure all this rain has put them behind.

You've got to be joking me! Damage to the car? I'd like to know the street number!

We have people park across the street from us (no houses there-it's a backyard), and when they do it makes it hard for us to get out of our driveway, but we'd never think of doing that.

You don't own the street, for goodness sake.

I also received a note from a homeowner requesting that I not park in front of their home. Although I'm not on Prosser Circle, but Sellers Path. I just shrugged it off because I wasn't blocking their walkway - and they certainly don't own any part of the street.

They are probably doing our driveways this week, so I will almost certainly park there again (this time on purpose)....just to see what happens!

I'd go knock on the person's door and give them a piece of my mind. They DON"T own the street and NO RIGHT to dictate where and when people can park. As long as the parked car is in accordance to Milton's By-laws, feel free to tell them where they can stick their note!

Zhamid,

I don't have a problem with being "neighborly", but for them to start putting notes on cars that park infront of their house is uncalled for. They can't dictate who does or "reserve" that space for themselves. They need to realize they are stepping over the line by putting notes on people's cars.

Well that's your right, but you would be rewarding the unneighbourly neighbours at the expense of all your other nice neighbours.

I don't think many people *like* other cars parked in front of their houses, but that's just the way it goes in a subdivision and if you're a good neighbour you live with it.

We get people parking in front of our house a fair bit where we are now. Sometimes it's a bit of a hassle if we're sitting on the porch with our dogs, since the dogs tend to get 'concerned' when the car owners come back and have to go on our front lawn to get in (we don't have a sidewalk and the dogs do think they own all the grass to the curb ;-)). But would we ever in a bazillion years put a note on people's cars and tell them not to park in front of our house ever? No. Because why? Because we're not total dickweeds, that's why.

If you dont know the owner then how would you communicate (without leaving the note)?

Moot point if you're not a dickweed, which for the record I know you are not. 8)

If I wanted to help someone and saw a car parked, but didn't know who it belong to, then I'd leave a note (although I'd explain why I suggested not parking there). So in my case I was actually doing others a favour by telling them not to park their cars there.

Apples and oranges. You are being nice. The original note-leavers are being selfish and seem to believe they are more important than anyone else in their neighbourhood.

Agreed!
I think its rude.
I'm sure when they had their drive ways done, nothing was said to them by neighbors about them parking infront of their homes.

I don't understand why some people are so concerned about what other people do.
As its been said...not their street.
