I thought I'd start this topic so we can keep all the Intracorp buyers together. There are a few of us out there, but as we near the decor appointment and onwards, I'm sure we'll all have questions.

The Mattamy buyers have been extremely helpful as they blog about their own woes, great ideas, and neighbourhood info they already know about...let's not lose that! But, this is just a separate forum for Intracorp-specific home buyers.

Intracorp's site plan is on p. 24 of this report: http://www.milton.ca/execserv/agendas20 ... Report.pdf } the foothills webpage has closed.

Mattamy's site plan: (they're just south of Intracorp's development): http://mattamyhomes.com/gta/communities ... iteMap.pdf (bottom left of page)[/b][/b]

I'll be going to OlympiaTile on Thursday. My appointment keeps conflicting with my business trips, so it's pushed out to 2nd week in November! It gives us a little more time to research the upgrade options

We also did a couple small structural changes as well as selecting the cellar/cantina option as well.

Jackson, which model do you have? Did you mean cold cellar in the basement?

Yeah I think it was a popular model. Really I only liked a couple layouts including the Robertson. But I guess there can't be too many b/c you can't have the same house/elevation so close to the next guy right.

Jdub I also thought the closing dates were far out, good for us but I was thinking most ppl would probably want to move it up a bit, didn't realize they would even budge on that.

I also just found out I get 1000 bucks towards upgrades for recommending a friend to buy in the development!

Hey Jackson, I didn't ask them to move the date up, Intracorp wanted me to move the date up! I liked April

I think it had something to do with having the area look more finished...

I hope the area will look finished. I just hate construction everywhere. Funny how I bought a brand new home which would deal with construction every where!

Oh, and Jacksonbk22 are you going to add potlights in your home through Intracorp? (if you are planning of doing potlights)

Hey Rohit. I don't plan on going through the developer b/c I think their price is outrageous. I want to put a lot in through the main floor - kicthen living room great room etc... at 250 a pop thats ridiculous. Mr Potlight who has been featured on here will do them for 75 per (I think you just supply your own fixtures which is much cheaper than 175) and he can do it on a finished house without problem. Same for the soffit lights I will most likely do that after close.

I was going to do the hardwood externally but when I looked at the upgrade book Intracorps price on this is actually quite reasonable and fair for market price so the biggest upgrades we are going with are upgraded tiles, hardwood and flooring throughout. Whatever we can do externally we will most likely go that route.

I'm not to crazy with the fact that intracorp wants 50% of upgrade money upfront. Thats a lot of money including the deposit thats just sitting there for them not collecting interest for me... had to factor that into their prices too.

Hey Jackson

I guess you have a point, I was already not planning of doing potlights anyways because I know it is much cheaper outside. I am NOT doing Hardwood because I just installed hardwood through-out my home currently and trust me it was SO MUCH CHEAPER than Intracorp. So I am basically upgrading other things such as double sinks in all bathrooms, extended kitchen cabinets, chefs desk, wrought iron staircase, staining the staircase to a much darker colour, upgrading my Humidifier, furnace, filter, A/C, smart wiring, 200 amp, Closet light in Master bedroom walk-in INCASE Intracorp for some odd reason does not put a light there, and since I got the Kitchen pkg THAT SAVED ME ALOT OF MONEY and made my kitchen look beautiful lol, and lastly I upgraded my faucets in the Master Bedroom Ensuite too.

Rohit97

Did you install the hardwood yourself? Reason I ask is most companies charge about $5 dollars sq/ft (average price for average product), and I found Intracorp comparable for similar quality product.

I'm doing a lot of the upgrades you are, furnace, A/C I will do later since I have some conections there. Smart wiring I was really unsure about as well as the audio rough in package... I wanted to talk to them about this some more to see all that it entailed. I thought with the basement finished could probably do a lot of this myself after close. also thinking with everything going wireless is the ethernet really necessary. What about the cable conduit? are you doing that too?
