Hi rock_80 and other posters

The multi-use trails will be built along with the widening of Derry Road this summer on both sides of the road from Bronte to Tremaine Road.

Christine & Mike the lands on both sides of Derry from Savoline to Tremaine are designated as office/commercial uses which allows some minor retail (check milton.ca under mapping and Sherwood survey official plan) there has been no applications yet for re-zoning to a site specific use. According to Town staff and planning consultants commercial and offices uses usually are built about two years after the first residential areas are built to ensure they have a viable market.

Busguy and Jordan there is no information yet on when the leases expire for Pur Fitness and the daycare centre probably something the owners do not want to give out at this time. The full site plan will be presented to the Administration & Planning Committee on Monday March 23rd where I will be asking that question on any future developments on the property.

More information when I see the agenda.

If anyone is interested in seeing the committee in action March 23rd is the meeting to attend, so far we have this site plan, the 1200+ new home proposal for the Mattamy Willmott area south of the Hospital, the ward boundary report recommendations and a day care proposal on Ontario St. S. along with several technical reports. Unfortunately committee meetings are not televised, so if you are interested in the planning and politics of Milton this is the meeting to attend.
