Just wondering if the dishwasher rough-in is standard on 36' homes. Our Quincy has the plumbing roughed, but no sign of the electrical outlet/hookup. Seams silly not to mention that in Design Centre meeting, $70 outlet would be something we would gladly pay up front rather than having to scratch our heads now. Anyone have a comment? |

Most dishwashers don't plug in, so they don't install an outlet. If you go downstairs there should be an electrical cable coiled up in the ceiling just under where the dishwasher goes. When they install the dishwasher they drill a hole in the floor, pull the cable up, wire it into the dishwasher, and then turn it on at the fuse panel. Marc |

For us, phase 11, the electrical cable was not put through the floor. The cable lay in the basement and was also not connected to the breaker (the breaker not connected to the main line). I had to drill the floor, connect the wires to the dishwasher, connect them to the breaket and then connect the main line to the breaker. |

In our QC (15a) it is done as Dream was mentioned. Same was done for our 36-lot house in 14b. |
