We are thinking of having Mattamy install the all oak stairs with a darker stain, and would love to have a 40oz carpet runner to match our carpet, but I cannot justify the
over $800 Mattamy wants for the runner upgrade

Has anyone already purchased a runner after closing - with good or bad results

Any suggestions on how to get a really good match to the 40oz carpet colour which we selected?
