Just wanted to pass on that the Wal-Mart grocery section is now open (as of last Friday). They don't have much in the way of fresh food yet, but I assume they will.

I was there on monday and they had curtains around a huge area. Seemed like where they were still doing construction inside the store. Didn't see any groceries. Are they just selling bread, milk n stuff?

There is a curtained off area where the groceries used to be where they're renovating still. The food is now located in the new section, far right when you enter. They have mostly non perishable stuff, but there's also dairy and frozen meat/food. I think it's pretty much what they were carrying before, but on a larger scale.

There's still a curtained area by the food, so I'm assuming there's also going to be produce or a deli department. The cashier I spoke with said it should be completely finished by November.

I found it to be high end of market competitive pricing and poorer selection.

I will evaluate again once they get the fresh foods.
