Solar Tour - Sun. Nov. 6th, 2011
from 1:00 to 4:00 p.m. in Milton.

This is the only solar tour Halton Environmental Network will be holding this fall. There will be three locations on the tour and three vendors - Eco Alternative Energy, Solar Direct Canada, and Solar Logix.

Come out and see the installations, meet the homeowners,
and talk to the vendors. Graham Flint, our solar PV specialist, will also be on the tour to answer your questions.

Building Community Power Co-operatively!

HHEAT's second workshop and community meeting will be held on Wednesday, November 16th from 7:00 to 9:15 p.m. at Landscape Ontario, 7856 5th Line South, Milton.

In this introductory workshop, you can learn about the benefits of renewable energy, be introduced to the idea of community power
(locally-controlled, decentralized energy systems) and begin to explore the potential for local, community-owned, renewable energy co-operatives through some insight into the co-operative Business model and the FIT and MicroFIT programs under Ontario's Green Energy Act.

Just curious if any PV Panel manufacturers have been talking about opening up plants in the Milton area like K-W and Guelph have seen?
