here are my two cents....unfortunately from experience.

I actually got this updrade in 15a, and I was told by my design consultant that it would be located right next to the electrical panel (my consultant's name started with an A and ended with and I...and it has a GAP in it ;))

When I went for my frame walk, I never saw the conduit installed, so I asked the builder and he said that it was missing and that he would take care of it for me.

During our PDI I asked them to point out where the conduit was, and no one could point it out for me. They said that they confirmed with the trades that it was installed, they just didn't know where. After about a month of searching the basement myself I found it....it wasn't anywhere near the electrical panel. It was at the other end of my basement against a wall, and to make matters worse, they had 2 - 2"x4"s on two sides of it, and a 2"x6" on the other side of it, so it was basically boxed in against wall. That rendered it useless to me. I had our head builder come and take a look at it for me, and he agreed that it was in a horrible location, he said that he will refund me the cost of the upgrade.

So as "buildinghomes.ca" said "salespeople are not trades people. They don't actually do the work."

Send me a picture, I'm sure there is a way we might be able to make it work.

Got it, thanks. Aren't the attics all insulated?

Yes they are. It's lovely stuff that sticks to you when you sweat.. which happens a lot because it's so hot up there.
