I've been trying to track these down, and now I have! Engineering drawings for our homes for future renovations. It should save us some $ on having to get this done again. Hope this helps:

FYI

Scott Neighbourhood Park North - New

Scott Neighbourhood Park North will be developed on a 6.0 hectare parcel of land at the western gateway to urban Milton at Tremaine Road and the newly aligned Main Street. The park will be framed by views of the Niagara Escarpment to the west and Indian Creek to the east. The park has the potential to be a prominent sports park; possible amenities may include a soccer field, two softball diamonds (lighting to be confirmed), multi-use courts, playground area, park shelter and informal and formal landscape plantings. Multi-use trails will provide pedestrian links between park amenities, as well as to and from the site. A portion of open space to the south of Main Street at Indian Creek will also be designed in conjunction with this park.

Funds have been approved for a detailed design concept in 2012. Public consultation will play a key role in the final design of Scott Neighbourhood Park North.

Public Input Session
Tuesday, March 27, 6:00 - 8:00 p.m.
Milton Centre for the Arts, Cogeco Escarpment Hall
1100 Main Street East

Attend the public input session to meet with staff and provide feedback on the design development. Further public input session(s) will be announced once the initial concepts are developed.

Hi everyone,
I was wondering how much notice intracorp gave you before the pdi? We just received an email telling us ours will be the day before our closing date. This seems crazy To me. First,
We close the Wednesday before Easter and this would mean that my wife and I would have to take the move day and the day before for the inspection of a week that is already short. Secondly, this wouLd give them no time to fix anything that was found at the inspection before we move in.

According to Builder Bulletin 42 in Builder Responsibilities Rule 2 near the top of page 6 - the builder must -

"make an appointment with the purchaser well in advance to conduct the PDI at a time that is mutually convenient".

You are right, that the disadvantage of doing the PDI one day before possession is that the builder will have less time to repair minor issues but the advantage is that the house has less time without supervision for workers to come and go to and from the home, possibly bringing in dirt, scratching floors, putting metal tool boxes on counters etc.

Why the eye rolls? Someone asked you who you were referring to when u say "early birds" and u haven't responded.
Secondly, once closing day comes, you have no interaction with the builder apart from picking up your keys...so unless you're asking about PDI, the only person to give you tips would be your lawyer, just prior to closing....

Doil- we purchased on the very first day of the grand opening. Are you certain about this?
i am going to give Wendy a call , for sure
Thanks for the tip

Pls report your findings.

Our lawyer mentioned that if Milton increased development charges from the time we purchased until the time they got permits then the purchase agreement permitted them to pass on this charge.

I don't think I'll be able to make it to the neighbourhood park public information session tonight, as I'm still in the east end. Can someone post information on how it went. Thanks!
