Awesome! We're 111 in the same block as you (the Oakwood on the non-corner end). Have they painted the garage doors yet?

Ya that was one of the reasons why I decided to go with Bell over Cogeco, they were waving all their setup and access fees.

We pushed our closing date back a day to the 28th and we'll be moving in on the 29th.

Really nervous about being out of the country from the 23rd to the 27th :|

Ya, we had our yearly Cedar Point trip planned for that week at the start of the year (all of us took booked our vacations etc.) and then we got delayed smack into the middle of it! We were really upset at first, but decided it would be ok to cut the trip short and bump the close date back.

We just hope our PDI is before we leave!

Jeger,
We both have the same moving date, and we're also doing our PDI on the day before. What's your house #. We're number 1 (not implying anything). What are you bringing for the PDI?

- Nadiera

PS - we're in for the Van Fleet street party.

Hello Nadel

We are at 226-05 (1 van fleet terrace), your next door neighbour! We are closing on 13th . We had our PDI today.I had taken my upgrades list, and a list of things to look for,and a camera to capture anything you feel needs to be captured.

Most of the things we found was asthetics...scratches and nicks on drywall ,flooring, cabinets etc
furnace and ,hot water was not in working condition...they were still working on it.
Basement insulation had mud stains below both the windows.

Just my 2 cents...hope this will give you an idea what to expect.Looking forward to meet you and all the other neighbours on Van Fleet

Nas

Kevin and Amanda, Mattamy called me last night to schedule my PDI...they gave me August 25 as my date so hopefully you two will be able to pick maybe the friday before that. They said the appliances won't be in but apparently we get another walk through the day we close. Hope it works out for you before you leave.

Those that are closing soon must be sooo excited and maybe a little stressed lol. Looks like good weather for moving..nice and cool. Good luck!!

Ya they originally wanted us to go on the 25th also, but Amanda managed to beg and plead to do it on the 22nd (friday).

We might still have to come back earily still to meet with the lawyer and sign the papers :|

PDI went well, aesthetic issues (scratches, etc). We're missing 2 kitchen cabinets (6-8 wks wait), and they covered one of our vents in the master bedroom when installing the carpet. Other than that, everything was ok. *Crossing fingers* that its a smooth process in getting these things completed.
Now the waiting game…

What do you guys think about cabinet door/draw alignment? If the doors/drawers aren't all lined up the same, would it be too picky to put on the PDI? :D

I agree with the above two posts. If doors and drawers are misaligned that's a pretty big flaw -- definitely not being picky.

Good stuff guys. I'll be sure to be nitpicky, because last time we were in, one column of draws were very wonky and it looks terrible.
