Hi fillerguy

Check the content of the presentation, staff are currently doing a feasibility study of the proposal and will be coming back later in 2008 or early 2009 with a design concept and capital budget proposal on 2009-10 with possibily the two additional arenas, multipurpose room and sports park area possibly coming first and a indoor pool and other facilities later.

Council is facing a number of capital projects over the next few years such as the Sports Centre, public works building, Main St. underpass, Entertainment Centre, major parks facility and other major road and transit projects. The Budget meetings are scheduled for December 8th and 9th with the presentation available on line a few days before. I welcome your ideas and comments on this and other town projects that will be under consideration.

At the Community services meeting on Monday night the committee passed the staff recommendation for additional snow crews, contractors and improved policies for better winter control much of the the recommendations based on the comments people have posted on this forum. The additional $ 141,000 cost will now be considered at the Budget committee which has to weigh many considerations for the 2009 Current and Capital Budget.
