Hi,

I was just wondering if we could expect to see the houses in HV dropping in price seeing as the recession has now hit Canada.

Are Mattamy showing any signs of discounting the houses, or advertising any promotions?

If they do come down in value, how much do you think they wil drop?

Thanks! :)

Hi,

I have tried a search but cannot find anything. Would you mind posting some links?

Many thanks!

Hi,

Just thought I would post a section of a website I was given. This gut apparently has predicted a lot of things that have happened in Canada and has always got it spot on!

* The media will be shocked to hear of negative equity and mortgage defaults in Canada. The potential exists for Canada to develop its own version of Stockton, California, the Ground Zero of foreclosures. One good candidate is Milton, Ontario.

The website is http://www.greaterfool.ca/

Thanks!!
:D

Sorry, someone gave me this link. I don't know how accurate he is, just passing on what I was told! :)

act1980,

Short answer. Perhaps if Garth was actually elected for Halton MP in the last election, that Milton reference would not have been made.

Hi,

I have been trying to find out some more information regarding the decrease in house prices.

Could someone please post a link if you know of any.

I am interested to see how much prices in Ontario have dropped.

Many thanks!

Hi act1980

There is several sources for real estate information for southern Ontario.

The local real estate board is the Oakville-Milton Real Estate board which you can google for monthly reports. Also the Canadian Multiple Listing Service mls.ca can show you current asking prices and details on listings on re-sale homes in the area.

You can also read the local paper miltoncanadianchampion or the regional paper the Toronto Star on their web sites to check real estate and business news online.

Colin Best
Local & regional councillor
Milton/Halton
colinbest.ca

also read the mortgages/legal thread of the hawthornevillager.com for details on real estate, mortgages and legal issues by local experts.
