Tony & Stella = Nov09

Also, has anybody ever heard of a builder bumping the closing date up! Can they do that?

When we went in we had our date pushed back to september 1st... at that time we were supposed to be the last house to close, but I guess cuz of the slowdown they pushed the unsold houses out further.. The sales center told us they didn't think they'd move the closing date, but we had it put in our offer, so I guess that's what motivated them.. now that there's no motivation for them to help you though...

Hey Kozm - So how did things go with your brick?

All - Do we pick from the CS lines or something else?

apes described it quite accurately; we had a variety of CS packages, drove to take a look at the actual houses, made our choice. Took us about 2 hours, including the tour.

Andrea, I believe I saw you at the site yesterday with some friends - am I right? we were in a blue Yaris...

Hi Konstantin,
I was up there with my cousin and my aunt. My cousin is moving in June to McTrach. I do remember seeing a blue car and was thinking that the occupants must be one of my neighbours. I wish i could have met you. I wanted to wave you down but you were gone to fast and the mud was getting me slow.

How about that mud yesterday. That was brutal. I walked through my home yesterday and it was great. Next time i will definatly wear boots that can be cleaned easily. I just couldn't not get out of the car and take a look around. I am planning to go up again on Saturday morning, if you guys are going up there again see you up there.

Ohhhh! doesn't it look fabulous. Heather thanks for the picture. I love the peak. and the brick looks great. I wonder if it is the same brick as what is along Dymott and Salvoline. Hmmm inquiring minds want to know. :D

It is looking great! I just wonder what is going on with the unit that doesn't have the roof yet. They have a concrete wall in between their home and the one on the end. I wonder why that is. I am going to ask the construction guys next time I am up there. ( which happens to be tomorrow) Rob maybe I will see you up there. I am in the grey Mazda 3 if you see me.

ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh soooooooo exciting to see stuff happening :) It's my sons birthday today and we're having a party tomorrow for him, but I gotta figure out a way to sneak over there to see this all ;-) Either one of two cars to keep an eye out for.. a dark blue Vibe with a license plate ROBUSH or a baby blue Wave... with no custom license :) Maybe one of these weekends we should just all show up at the same time and introduce ourselves... and scare the construction workers ;-)

Sounds like a great plan Rob. Just let me know when and you know I will be there.

No, ours is the nice piece of land right close to the Valleymore (or whatever it is at #68 ), we're #69. Our son has his swim lessons at Meadowvale on Sat at this time, so not likely that we will be able to stop by :(

Hi Everyone!!!

Ppl on this thread have been pretty quiet this past week!!!

Anyways would love to meet you all but we're going to the Home Show tomorrow, to try and get some decorating ideas.

I called the Sales Ctr today to find out when we go in for our brick choices but the lady that handles it is off today.

Anyways, Shannon told me that all thats left in the Mainstreet Detached is one lot facing the park, the Sandcliffe behind us and lot #66.

So there's more ppl that should be joining this thread soon!!!

Hey any of you spend HOURS at the DC as well before your actual appt's we were there the whole afternoon last weekend!?!?

Cheers,
Tony

Hey there Tony,

So the home show is this weekend? I had no idea. Could you post where it is taking place and what the hours are?

Thanks, I would like to go tomorrow since I am off.

Hi ...

Here's the link for the National Home Show:

http://www.nationalhomeshow.com

Its being held at Exhibition Place in the main convention area ... can't remember the name now basically that big building by the Princess Gates.

It runs from this weekend to next weekend I believe.

I think you can get tickets online too at a discount!

Cheers and enjoy!
Tony
