OK, three queries from an average internet user:
I've been noticing the word 'Blog' a lot recently. Why does this refer to a personal site? Or does it refer to something else?
Also, in perusing some of your own websites that show pictures of your house in progress among other things, I got to thinking I might like to try that myself. Is there a site that lets me do it free of charge? How difficult is it?
What does 'phpbb' stand for? I've noticed other discussion forums with these letters.

A blog is an online journal. You can make it public for people to see or you can keep it confidential. I blog. One more common blog spot is offered by google. www.blogger.com

EDIT: Damn tim types faster than me. I'll leave this up anyways

BLOG - weB LOG

As was said it can be used as a journal. If you have a personal news site it can also be embedded into your web page so the newest entries in your Blog are show on the page. Blogging is the newest web fad and several celebreties and even Mark Cuban (owner of the Dallas Mavericks and self made rich guy) have them. If you enjoy sharing your thoughts with others than there are many many free blog sites that can get you started with very little pain.

As for PHPbb, that is PHP (a webpage programming language) bb (bullitin board). PHP is a modular and easy way of making websites. The PHPbb is a popular PHP based forum module that is (or at least was) used by many. Unfortunatly its popularity has hurt it as recently hackers are destroying forums that use this module forcing webmasters to find alternative applications.

Marc, my web site is through MSN http://spaces.msn.com and it was free of charge and extrememly simply to use/set up.

I did the same as Bonnie, but I have my own space that I want to design someday. MSN was fast, easy & free. Upload speed wasn't that bad either.

Marc I have nothing much to add :)
Everyone else already posted the answers! Just wanted to mention when I started the "blog" portion of the site I used www.blogger.com which Yaseen mentioned. It's free and was easy for me to use. Also phpbb is also free (you can pay if you want but it's not required). The ISP we're using for this phpbb site is canaca.com but they're fairly cheap.

Yup, alot of issues with phpBB, I use one myself and had the hacker issues, but with it up to date it is ok now. Other ones I use, have never had a security breach.

Just noticed your http://www.maserati.ca/ site. Do you have one? A Maserati that is? I'm ignorant, is a 1985 Merkur XR4TI (you mentioned you have one) a Maserati?
