wow, that's insane! I wonder when everyone else is closing??? you and April/Joel close a month before me I think...

just down the street from the new site eh?! what type of home are you guys in now? 1/2 hour really? actually I could see that... just strait down Derry I'm assuming? I guess the traffic gets bad around Mississauga Road/401 area...

It's a Quincy Corner...

No, I stay away from Derry, that is an hour drive or so in good conditions, I've tried many different ways (Steeles, Derry, Brittania, Eglington) the 401 is the fastest way in believe it or no... It has spots, it bunches up around the 407, Mississauga Rd as well... but all in all it's not that bad...

eew.... well good to know.. at least for the wifey.. she's at 401/Erin Mills area... hopefully once the construction on Derry is done it'll free up some room on that road and others.... then again from what I've read on this forum the infrastructure cannot keep up with the rate of people moving into Milton

It's about 500 sq feet smaller actually.. But it is a nice layout.. Not ours, we had a Mattamy Springridge Semi, saw the writing on the wall, sold it high, and rented this place until we could get our own place again... worked out well because when we sold the Valleymore was still starting in the 360k range, so we waited for "the correction" and ended up saving like 40 grand.

Leave the house at 6:45, the problem now is I have to drive west to 401/25 to drop the kids off at daycare and then back on the highway at around 7:15, I'll save a lot of time by being closer.

No I think SANDcliffe corner is completely appropriate.. though Mudbowl Corner may have been more so ;-)

Rob, could I ask you to look at #69 to see if there is anything there above the foundation yet? Would appreciate tremendously...

Hi Fitdiculous! It's me! I drive the same car as you. But I must say yours looks better than mine! I drove by your car on Sunday and your car looked so spotless! My husband and I are at the site almost every other day so I can't seem to keep my car clean. LOL! Are you on Magurn Gate? We are on Goutouski. Maybe we'll see you around area one day and introduce ourselves. :D When do you move in?

Take care!

I'm sure if I drove to the site everyday it wouldn't be so clean.... I try and go if there is no rain/mud

My car was parked right in front our new place on Magurn Gate. Where abouts are you guys on Goutouski? I have a colleague on Goutouski too! ya, you'll see me a lot outside washing my car once everything is all settled :P feel free to ask me any questions about the car... I also work at Honda

we move in hopefully Oct 14, 09... just a couple of days before you it looks like!

Rob,

I believe we are next door to you? We are lot 64 - I think. I know our address is 240 Magurn and it's a Valleymore that's one away from the corner. Any updates would be apprciated. We are there quite often too. I have never used site before, as I am a techno-idiot. We close on Aug 11th, looks like it's going to be a close one. Doug

Hey welcome neighbour!!!

Sound like your one house behind us ... we're Lot 71!

Rob is lot 75 I believe on the side facing the park.

Noticed your name ... this is probably a real long shot but you wouldn't happen to be or related to the TOStar writer Doug Smith would you? I'll reserve comment till you answer! LOL

I believe the only ones that don't have foundations now are Tony and Stella bro... I'll confirm tomorrow, but I think yours is up...

Nice to meet you Doug :) Ya you're at the other end, we're on the park (lot 75), but I'll check tomorrow and let you know what's up with yours...

welcome to the site Doug, hope to meet you soon... we're lot 65... but our address is 236 Magurn Gate... I'm not sure how the numbers are allocated though?? but it would make sense since you're too our right if you were facing the front of the house and you're well on your way as far as progress goes... you had a roof up and everything when I saw on thursday...

BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO :(

you got our hopes up... lol... maybe they'll have it up by tomorrow.. who knows!

I just had this thought since it's going to rain tomorrow ... how does all that water affect the "inside" of the house? obviously this happens all the time..... ahhh guess there's noting that can be done about it anyway...
