Hi everyone

Mattamy came yesterday to finish my laundry drain on the 2nd floor. When we moved in, it was unfinished. I don't think they did a good job. It has about 2 inch of grout around the drain...The guy from warranty told us this is how it's done, otherwise the drain would be higher. I was originally told by construction that the tile had to be removed and refitted for a snug fit...

I don't know how to post pics, but if someone could take pictures of their drain and post it, I'd appreciate it. Thx

I haven't taken a photo yet, but I just checked mine and there is about a 1/4 to 1/2" circle of grout around the drain.

Did the Mattamy guy look like this ??

Because this decepticon "guy from warranty" is misleading you.

The above post is correct. There should only be about 1/4 inch of grout around the drain cover.

Thanks for the info and pics. I am going to call Mattamy this week and ask them to come back and fix it properly.
