The only notice I received was to let me know that my daughter will be in the afternoon class for SK. As for my boys I haven't got any notice. They will be in grade 2 and 5.

My son is in the afternoon SK too!

As for the kids in Grade 1 and up, when they get to the school on the 1st day they will line up by Grade (signs will be posted at the playground) and their teachers will call them by name.

For those looking for daycare....my neighbour just got her son into Cuddly Corner (in the Metro plaza) which runs transportation to and from the school. Not sure what other daycares have tranportation. Lots of people advertising home dayares.

It would be on Bolingbroke, off of Yates. I went to another school to register them. I did it in May.

I just read the news letter all kids beginning with the letters A to L will attend on Tuesday the 8th and from M to Z will attend on the 9th. The kids that attend on Tues will not attend on Wed and vice versa. Then they all attend on the Thursday.

There is a website which is supposed to have more information http://schools.hcdsb.org/olfa.

Parents of kids in JK or SK: just curious as to what you will be doing with your kids the other half day.

Any suggestions???

I would like to take a year off, but I don't think my wife will go for it. :) [/b]

seriously - any comments would be helpful...thanks

We are in the same boat marathonman....my son is starting JK at OLF and we are looking for part-time care - I am starting to think this will be next to impossible!

Any home day care providers in the area? any suggestions???

Hello,

My daughter is going into grade 1 and is a little timid with the school being a full day. We live on Scott and would love to meet some children that are going to be bused

i hope this will help her and other kids feel safe and comfortable with their transition into the new school

perhaps we can schedule a meet n greet at the park once it opens

dymott and scott is the school bus pick up zone at 7:45am
attending OLF

looking forward to meeting

have a great day Smile

The address is listed as 709 Bolingbroke Dr, and i t looks like it fronts on to Yates somewher, but I can't find that address on google or mapquest.

Is it somewhere between Thompson and 25?

The school is west of Thompson, South of Derry. As for main roads it's basically Yates & Clark (Yates which currently runs East/West, will curve South just west of Holly and meet up with Clark). It also will border Phillbrook which will continue South over the pipeline.

I wonder how many kids will attend the new school. Also wondering if it will be done. They don't have much time left. Will the park be done beside the school intime?
