We have a Maytag fridge with a filtered water/icemaker on the door. It's now telling me to replace the filter.....I was wondering....is there an "everyday" store where I can purchase this....or am I going to have to spend a fortune and/or order one from an appliance store.

I never gave this aspect much thought when picking it out.....

Thanks in advance...
Jessica :)

We ordered online from the states. Saved about 50% even after shipping costs. If you'd consider this, let me know and I'll dig up the company we used.

No kidding!
They are usually $40-80 each depending on the model you have. We got a very good deal on a 2-pack for our frigidaire ones.

Here are some Maytag ones...

We also used a coupon code to save on the order. I'd buy from there again.

I'll also vouch for FridgeFilters.com. I've used them a couple of times. I just buy 6 at a time, and don't worry about it for a while. They give you pricing/shipping rate reductions for buying more at a time. It's not like they'll go bad, and you'll eventually want/need them.

I often worry about the manufacturer eventually sunsetting a model at some point, making finding replacements difficult, which makes me inclined to stock up on a few.

I just bought one from Milton Magtag store opposite of Canadiantire store(the same building as Dollarama, Officedepot, Boclair sth). The price is around $60.

I got mine for my LG from EZwaterfilters.com. It was the cheapest I could find. Just get the serial number off the Filter in your fridge and do a search for it. There are lots of places online that have them.
