Response from Amanda regarding snow removal:

Hi Rob,

Your street will be plowed by Mattamy Homes until the Town starts snow
removal for your area.

Regards,

Amanda Ayles
Customer Care Coordinator
Mattamy Homes Limited

So it sounds like what we heard was incorrect and that Mattamy/town will be plowing the lane...

Thanks for finding that out for us Rob!

On a side note, when did email Amanda about this? we emailed her over 2 weeks ago about finding out if we could close early and still haven't heard back... not impressed.

I emailed her yesterday after one of your messages, just got that response a few minutes before I posted it.

Maybe try emailing her again and throw up a "Second Request" in the subject line to get her attention ;-)

lol, she has to get back to us by the end of next week to confirm when our kitchen stuff is going to be delivered, they won't know until next week :(

It's more of a lets get the earlier closing so we have time to have everything we want to get done to the house before we "move move" in ... we're OK with the original closing date of Oct 14th. But with it so close now, I just want to get in there asap!

Hey Andrea,

Long time to see... I sent you a PM a while back, just wanted to make sure you got it.. it was in regards to backsplash

Hey there Ed, I am sorry I didn't get back to you. I did get your message and I actually don't have a backsplash in the house yet. I plan to get one but havn't done it yet.

A

no worries.. were you going to go with universaltile again? he did your old house?

Hey Ed,

The gentleman that I used for my condo was a man named John Lisi. He was eccellent. I don't remember what his screen name was, but he did and excellent job. If you go with him you won't be disappointed. I am planning to use him again as well when I do finally get my backsplash installed in the future.

Yup, that's the dude on here named UniversalTile I believe... was his pricing fair? flexible with your hours? work warrantied?

I've been emailing with him back and forth and just stopped hearing from him for the past week and a half for some reason  ... Backsplash can wait for us... although we would want it done while the rest of our kitchen is being done

It converts your carpeted stairs to wood stairs... Was looking at them last night... they're really nice looking actually....

Ed,
I don't think he can install while your kitchen is being put in unless he works for Mattamy. I think it is something you will have to wait for until after closing.

Don't worry about him not responding. He was going to be moving into the area aswell. Maybe his is the process of moving himself. :D

Ya we're locked out... Tuesday is the big day, but we won't be moving in until the 11th (but Jen and I will be around doing some work pretty well every day until then).

I think we'll probably be by there tonight to let the kids play in the park, getting them accustomed to the fact that this is going to be their new home as much as we can. You around tonight?

Mike Box,

It was great to finally put a name and face to you and your boys last night. It was great meeting you.

I hope everything goes well for you with your up coming move.
