I have One question, specially the one with Plan7.
How many of you have taken the Chef's Kitchen Upgrade option and what extra do you get other than the Island.
I took the upgrade aswell and now realize that there's no OPTION or SPACE to have pentry.

Can somebody confirm if it's true?????

hi farhan, if you choose the chefs kitchen, the optional pantry is no longer an option, but, it appears that there is a small pantry included anyways.

check out the plan book (page 36) for more info

chargar, that's awesome that you did both in the same appointment, saves you a trip! and that's awesome about the sq ft of the house, that's the type of print error I don't mind.

btw, we received our book, and we have our structural booked for oct 15.

who was your consultant? we have patrizia, she seems nice.

D. Del, are you referring to the converting the closet between the garage and the kitchen into a pantry?

Well, i'm actually glad that you brought this up. It is a closet and you have the option of converting it into a side door when you go for your structural appointment. We are a plan 4 and have this with the standard kitchen. We were also hoping to have a pantry in our kitchen but there isnt anywhere to put it.

Our design consultant recommended that we put the pantry between the upper and lower cabinets by our fridge. Frankly, spending $1,400 on a pantry which is actually just an additional cabinet seemed a lil too expensive for us and the design consultant herself thought it was a waste so we didnt go with it. However, upon looking at our plan again we decided that we would convert the closet by the garage into a pantry since we already have one at the entrance to the house. The closet by the garage has a door and i dont think putting in shelves would cost that much. Additionally, it's in the perfect spot!

Hi Gen,

We are doing the same thing with our pantry. We went to Costco and bought a stainless steel rack with 6 shelves that will sit right into the closet perfectly. We figured we would do this instead of adding the pantry because we don't want to lose the counter space.

We got:

Arches through out the main floor
Rounded edges
Oak stairs, sqaure pickets - expresso stain
Sous kitchen
Carpet underpading through out main and second floor

hey chargar, the book is confusing me  how much was the stain for the stairs? is it considered two flights?

also, how much for the arches? we've calculated $2700
