We bought a bathroom vanity to replace the standard pedestal sink in our powder room. The vanity is supposed to go flush up against the wall. But when we got a plumber friend to come over to install it for us, he showed us that it couldn't go flush against the wall because the baseboard and quarter round is sticking out about an inch from the wall so the vanity can't go flush with the wall properly.

Need someone who has some type of small electric saw thingy or way to just cut out a small portion of the baseboard in our powder room so we can fit the vanity flush against the wall.

Could someone PM me if they can do this service for us? Basically say how much and what day you'd be available? I assume it would be a very quick job for someone who has the right tool and knows what they're doing.

Some replies I got on other forums is a carpenter can just use a "rotozip" or a "Fein Multimaster" tool to cut out that small piece of baseboard from the wall without having to tear out the whole baseboard.

Any carpenters/handypeople here who have that tool ? and do renovation services who could cut out a piece of existing baseboard & quarter round that's on the wall for me?

If you happen to have a Dremel tool, it will do the trick for you.

I had to do this when we replaced the standard pedestal with one we bought right after closing. The one we bought has curved antique-looking legs so I needed the baseboards stencil-cut to match. A small wood cutter attachment on my Dremel did the trick nicely.

(I realize you may not have one of these tools, just providing info here. I think it's very handy for a whole lot of home-owner situations).

But the thing is I have 5 thumbs on each hand, no fingers (figuratively speaking) when it comes to even minor renovations like this. So really looking for one of the many milton contractors/renovators to hopefully PM saying they could do this relatively small job for me in X amount of time for Y dollars

I was just doing searches to see if what I want done is easily possible, and what type of tools a carpenter/handyman would typically use to do it. So either a rotozip, fein multimaster, or dremel would probably do the job in someone's experienced hands.
