becareful if you have french doors and they remove them. Supposedly, from the appliance guy that I deal with, once you remove the doors off a french door they will never be aligned properly again... something to do with the hinge system.. you may luck out and get them to align, but a good chance you won't... ahhh the joys of moving... Mattamy's gonna fix our 30-day list next week and we still have some big stuff to move in, so i'm scared... ie. breakfast table, dining table, bed set, couches :(

I would try my best to get that stuff in now.. We had a ding or two from our movers and Mattamy was nice enough to fix them during our 30 day... Might be better to get that stuff in now just in case...

breakfast table we ordered and may be in before they fix the stuff, but we haven't even started to shop for a dining set or a bed set yet.... that and couch's for the living room too ... we don't have anymore $$

I guess I should start reading into how to repair drywall :(

Hey Ed,

Repairing drywall is pretty easy. Just buy a small tub of spackle, a spatula & sandpaper from home depot. I'm sure Mattamy gave you some touch up paint, if not our paint is portabello, you can borrow some if you want. Have fun repairing! :D

I'm sure it's relatively easy, even for me, a non-handy guy :p

I'm just lazy and worried about it looking "patchy" ... I'm sure it's inevitable considering the way our stairway is... you guys done unpacking yet?

About grading in front of magurn lane a sub-con hired by GateMan malloy(?)
just started making stairs and blocks for our frontyard this week.
I've been keep asking mattamy about
the grading and they said they'll finish it before winter.
I almost filed an inspection claim to Tarion as it stated on my 30days-list.
Eavestrough, after keep reminding them for 5 months finally they intalled it even I don't listed them on my list.

Garbage pickup, I'm not sure if it has already started on magurn. I didn't wait to get notice by mail but went to halton waste mgmnt instead to pickup cart & bins.

So the waste people told me that this week the bins will be delivered, and the pickup starts next week. And we've got the grass today!

oh ya? that's good.. pickup is on Monday's right?

I'm kinda mad about the grass... at least on the sides.. I really thought we were getting gravel or stone or something on the sides.. there's really no need for grass along the side of the house.. I don't think it'll grow properly because there's not enough, if any sunlight ....

Tony and Stella, and Pricilla and Mike,
Congratulations on your closings. I do hope you guys are not moving in all this rain. It will just make the clean up that much worse. If you are then good luck and have fun.
Does that mean we are all in now? Whoo hoo the lane and gate are finished. This is awsome.

Kozam, thanks for the information re garbage pick up. I am happy they are finally going to start. I am tired of driving around looking for the big dumpsters with my garbage in the car.

Christmas is around the corner. Is anyone putting up lights on their house? Can any of you guys help a sister out??? I am afraid of heights and would like to put some up. Just not sure how that is going to happen.

Thanks in advance.

Hey everyone - just wondering who is planning on going Friday night at the Tree Lighting event that is hosted by Mattamy? Its at 7pm at the big tree on the corner of Gastle & Schreyer.

Now that we are all in our homes we could probably take this time to say Hi to each other and introduce ourselves :D
