We are FINALLY getting a flat screen tv!!! :D We have to get our old tube tv out of the family room and down to the basement. The catch is this old tv weighs 220 pounds!!! Does anyone know of a moving company that does in-house moves at a reasonable rate??

What are you willing to pay to have it moved?

If its a Sony Wega, do what I did. Post it on Craigslist and let someone come buy it from you. Tubes suck!

I think I got $150 last year for my 36". There are a ton of people (with some screws loose) trying to sell them for $400+

Get a couple of crossfit-ers to move it for you.

I'm in - get one more person and pay us a case of beer and you're in business!

Just get a few people to help, 220 lbs isn't that heavy. If you need me for 5 minutes with other Cross-Fitters, let me know. All fit men in their 20s and 30s should be able to deadlift at least 220 lbs for reps.

You can also put a strong, large blanket under the TV. While it's on the main floor you can just pull the TV on the floor using the blanket. Once you get to the stairs have the guys grab the corners of the blanket really strong (wrap it around their wrist) and then take it down.

Thanks everyone!! We actually got two guys to move it earlier today. We hooked up the tv and bluray and already watched a movie! I can't believe we went so long with that monster of a tv. It's like we've stepped into a whole new world. We're loving it!! :D
