Anybody know when the splash pads will be operational? We brought our daughter to the park on Sunday, and the temperature was certainly somewhere in the area of scorching, but alas, no water.

The swings were nice and hot though... when I grew up swings were made out of wood which perhaps did not warm up as much. The black plastic though is painful.

I also don't come from Ontario. Back in the old country, falling down and breaking an arm was considered part of the playground fun. I also walked uphill to school both ways, but that's another story.

I'm pretty sure that they opened after the long weekend, so maybe yesterday??

They were supposed to be turned on Saturday (except Rotary park):

But some of them weren't. Lion's Park was definitely working, we were there! But I heard the one by the Metro wasn't on. And the one on Philbrook was apparently turned on yesterday.
