Last night around 10:00 we let our dog outside to do her business before bed. We are in the middle of having a pool installed and our gate has been replaced by a temporary orange fence and our black lab decided to escape and tour the neighbourhood. After driving around in our car for an hour and quietly trying to call her name to not wake up everyone my husband found a really nice couple walking Molly trying to see if anyone was out looking for her. Ironically, when she escaped her name tag came off so they didn't know her name or couldn't call us.

So.....to the couple who noticed a lone dog walking around, called her over, took her in, fed her and then went out at 1130 at night to try and find her owners, THANK YOU--it worked! Our kids would have been devastated in the morning if she wasn't here.

Now we are off to get a new name tag and we are going to have to jig something up with the fence.

We were so happy to find her and so mad at her at the same time (funny how that is!) but more then that we are so thankful for living in such a great neighbourhood with people who care!
