If you have purchased or are thinking of purchasing a home in Mattamy's Cambridge location of Upper Country Club there is a new discussion forum at - http://www.cambridgeuppercountryclub.com/
It's being hosted by someone else (Cambridge14) who I've emailed with last year when we were both looking at Hawthorne Village.

Buildinghomes.ca also has a website with discussion forums, it's at

http://www.buildinghomes.ca/community/forums/

It contains a Mattamy section for Stoufville (Main & Wheler's Mill) and also a Milton area for other non-mattamy builders in Milton (such as Sundial/Hollybank).

If you are a non-Mattamy/non-Hawthorne Villager you can STILL post messages and take part in forums on hawthornevillager.com. This forum isn't meant to be exclusive to Hawthorne Villagers only. It's just that it's prime focus is Hawthorne Village. So if you're a Coscorp, or Sundial living in and around the Hawthorne Village area please feel welcome here!

Thank you Rick!

I have found this forum very helpful and we are with Coscorp. We are moving in one week. I was so happy to find a forum that involved my future neighbors, information about the immediate area, home issues and Milton in General.....this will be our residence soon and no other site really involves all those things. It has helped a lot moving from Toronto.

Thanks again for all your hard work and dedication for keeping this forum active. I and many others appreciate it.

New discussion forum for residents of Summerside, in Scarborough is at www.summersider.com Phil will be moderating the forums there.

Mattamy's description of Summerside...
Quote:
Mattamy's Summerside is a brand new addtion to an old neighbourhood. It has been thoughtfully designed for how we live today. Summerside will provide you with a home with a front door not an elevator door. It will have its own parks and spaces for neighbourly gatherings. It will be situated in a private setting just off of Warden & St. Clair. You will have a fine choice of home styles and a range of urban designs to reflect a diversity of lifestyles. You will feel more than welcome in this community and your new Toronto home.

I've visited a lot of these forums and have found them all to be full of information every new and old homeowner can use. Another blog that gives a perspective is: http://oakvillehomes.wordpress.com/

Every different viewpoint allows a better decision...

For anyone in the Vista, Fieldgate, Arista, Greenpark and Heathwood Homes areas north of Derry road there is also the www.miltononescarpment.com discussion forum which is growing. I post on there regularly along with other residents and Donna Danielli the Halton District School Board trustee.

The problems in Mattamy's Fairwinds Phase Five is still ongoing. This link tells the story from the perspective of one homeowner, who has, along with a number of others, a long period of stall tactics, indecisions, and financial stress.
