The one at Dundas and Winston Churchill and Dundas and Confederation is just as good.

I love how everyone in Milton recommends restaurants everywhere but in Milton.

I think the reason people recommend other restuaruants is that we have Italian, Italian and more Italian.....

And you have the Milton factor.... it seems no matter what the restaurant that opens in town, they after a few weeks fall to a very low level of quality and service.

My theory is that the same crappy chefs and servers move to each new location as they open and ruin it.

I think to send a message to the local businesses, is that if you find a good restaurant in Milton, visit them. Just as you visit other business in Milton.

Any new restaurants in Milton with the right combination of good food and good service should due well.

By the way, since we're talking about it - best schwarma I've ever had is from Pita & Grill, near Dixie/Eglinton. The cool crowd at work does a run to this place at least once a week. Sometimes I get in on this action, much to my tastebuds' delight.

Bang on!! best schwarma ever!! That garlic sauce will kill the biggest pack of Excel gum!

I went back to Pita Nutso again to give it a second try....still no good. Officially on my no return list, along with Willy's Jerk and Mexicali Rosas. Looks like I will stick to Monforts when I have a craving in town

I've eaten from Pita Nutso for a long time from their Streetsville and Oakville locations. I've always been satisfied with their big portions and great shawarmas. Needless to say I was excited when the Milton location opened... however after going there a few times, I'm very dissapointed in this establishment compared to it's sister franchises.

... and sorry, Osmow's is still the king and the benchmark which all shawarmas should be measured against in my books.

Monforts

I used to be a free Montforts spokesperson - then one day I got food poisoning or whatever you want to call it from that place. Needed a trip to the hospital. ALthought I long for the delicious taste of a Montfort pita with no pineapples, I cannot bring myself to eat it again.

No Montforts for me!

MMMMMMMmmmmmmmmmmmmmmontfort!

More for me! :-)

So i don't do this often - and honestly I'm not the one to start bashing someone. BUT... I went for the first time to Pita Nutso today and one word describes it all.. AWEFUL! The "regional director" (i.e the grumpy old man) was SO rude, obnoxious not to me but several customers before me. Specifically, the man infront of me who was ordering and added a coupld side orders when he came to pay (the "mean old grumpy" guy started to become restless and saying stuff like you are getting on my nerves!!!) Seriously? The customer, rightfully so, said you need to work on your customer service and I COMPLETELY agree.

I cannot believe such an aweful owner, regional director of whatever the heck he is, is here in Milton I don't want to go to that place just because of him.

Secondly, that was just to comment about the customer service (however, the young man that was actually preparing the food was the ONLY nice one there) But the food was absolutely horrendous! I'm no expert in arab food - but I please beg someone who is to go and taste what a mockery is being made of their food/culture. The chicken undercooked and disgusting, rice was raw/undercooked and I got ONE cucumber and ONE tomato and that was my salad on the side?

Again sorry for the rant but in all honesty everyone save yourself the time and effort and AVOID this place they really need to IMPROVE alot more before they actually have good reviews, or unfortunately at this rate they will be out of business in no time.

Again just my opinion - take it with a grain of salt but this was ridiculous! Also, the customer that they were rude to infront of me said that it wasn't his fault since there was NO menu in site where we were ordering and I agree with him.

:)

I haven't had a problem with the food or service. And after 2 visits they remembered my order!

For those of you who don't know. Pita Nutso: no pita for you! There is sort of a image they have to portray. The image on the tshirt? Seinfeld parody.

It's not like "Pita Jolly".

I am happy I did the search thing today before posting as I hadn't even noticed this thread before........and here's my experience.. walked in with my husband never been there before .. we were looking at the menu and for those of you who have been in there.. the Order Here sign is behind the menu.. the old grumpy guys yells at us " YOU MUST ORDER OVER THERE" he was standing at the cash which is underneath the menu.. 1 person was paying and were were the only other ppl in there..... we werent even in there for 2 seconds and if we went to the ORDER HERE sign you can't see the menu... so I said "we are looking at the menu".. as we are looking at the menu he yells again at us again "HELLLLLOOOOO" (like were weren't listening to him to go ORDER OVER THERE!) and my hubby and I looked at eachother and walked out..... "GOODBYE!" ...

We were in there for 2 MIN tops.. and were treated like that.. I guess they don't want new customers.. didn't even get a chance to see if the food was good or not.. but from the sounds of it more ppl think its not!

I must admit that I am finding Prickly Pete's posts on this subject very amusing...

That being said, I will throw in my two cents. I have been to two Pita Nutso locations (Oakville-Trafalgar and Milton).

I found the staff at the Oakville location to be very pleasant and customer friendly. The cook (who I think is the owner) even went next door to the mini-mart to buy me a newspaper when he realized all the newspapers were from yesterday. I found the portions to be really good and the food was awesome.

I have been to the Milton location a couple of times and I would have to agree with some of the other posters that the older guy does embarass the young female employees by yelling at them in front of customers. I would also agree with an earlier poster that I think this might be a family business which is why it seems so odd that he yells at the girl. I would hope that they keep that behaviour at home and not in front of customers and kids in their store.

The food was "ok" compared to the Oakville location.

Que Prickly Pete...

we had a similar poor and embarrassing experience.

It seems the one worker watched one too many episodes of Jersey Shore.

He was rude, obnoxious and downright annoying all the while have a constant cool guy smile on his face.

an Indian couple came in and he was calling the man "russtle peters" because he was dressed nice and had sun glasses on.

they were not amused.

NO PITA FOR YOU!

I like a place that messes around with me a little, instead of immediately inserting their nose in to my ass-crack.

I totally agree. Its a bit more authentic urban this way, instead of the "head up your ass" oakville style.

I can not believe the number of people who have not watched Seinfeld's soup nazi episodes.
