Ok justagirl how does this sound.

Buffet on that small wall. Dining table in front of it. And a nice lighting fixture on top of the dining table. Would they put a Chandler where my old living room is?

For my NEW living room , my long sofa on the window wall, loveseat on the other wall, table in the middle, mini size chair (still un-sure.. need help) and potlights in the ceiling.

Why don't you wait until you get the house. That what we did. The only thing we bought prior to moving in was the bed and appliances.

Well I have to decide now because if I want to put the living room furniture in the dining room and the dining room furniture in the living room. I have to see if I am still doing coffered ceilings, moving the potlights to diffrent rooms and moving other lighting fixtures around.

She already purchased and has the furniture, I guess it was purchase for the house they are in now, but now their moving.... she excited about the move, as we all were. She's brain storming... it's fun, don't you remember?

Yes, they will add another light fixture for you in the living room, pot lights will be nice no matter what you do to the room. You can add that extra light then no matter what you do when you move in you have a place to hang the chandelier.

You can put that little chair in the middle of the dotted line between the 2 rooms.

Well, you could always get smooth ceilings and no coffered ceiling so then the space becomes flexible with whatever you wanna do.

I am a guy LOL. And good idea thank you so much I think my final answer is switching m 2 rooms around. Also Justagirl do you think they would put the chandler in the centre of the room? Because if my buffet is going where my little wall is, my dining table should be in front of it. And my chandler would then be beside my table not above it if its in the centre.

 Sorry about that. This can be discussed with your design consultant, I don't see it as being a problem. You should also get a frame walk after your house has been framed. At this point if the light is in the wrong place they should be able to move it for you.

Rohit97,

Sorry, had no phone or internet yesturday... Bell??

I'm not sure if it will fit you should be able to get this infomation from your builder. If it doesn't I think it will look fine on the wall between the two windows.

2 windows? Um... Thats my dining room. I am talking about that little wall in the NEW dining room A.K.A Living room..... Also in the new dining room, if I put the buffet on that little wall. Should I put my dining table vertical or horizontal? I was thinking Horizontal...

From what I can see on your plan it looks like that is around 5 1/2 feet. If you count the sqares in the hall there are 13, that wall is 5 1/2. I'm not sure if this is accurate, buy usally each square = one foot
