If your BB supports 3G, then tethering to it does. I have a rogers rocket stick, and did find it a bit faster than tethering to my 3G Bold, but certainly doable to watch youtube videos.
Did this in MTL a few weeks ago when the daily rate at the hotel is $13. Pshaw, not this cheap mofo.
Just install BB Desktop Manager, use a cable and there is an option to use an IP Modem in the software. Unless you bitch, Rogers will not enable tethering on your plan until you have > 1 gig data plan.

Hi,
Just wondering if anyone knows how I can get remote internet for one day to watch streaming video? I know that Rogers has a 3G Stick, but that's some sort of a monthly plan, I just need it for a day. Does tethering to a device such as a BB give 3G speeds for internet access? Any advice/tips on how I can accomplish this with reasonable cost?
Thanks!
