All the bigger stores should have them. Wal Mart, Can Tire, Home Depot.

The bulbs are much bigger and cannot be used with all light fixtures.

For my chandalier smoked/etched dining room light I have the compact energy efficient lights on a regular light switch. Because the fixture is smoked, I don't have to worry about seeing the bulbs.

I'll try to lug my camera and get some info for you.

Cool, I did not know they had dimmer energy efficient bulbs out. They all usually have a warning not tu use them for dimmers... I need to get some!

I'm pretty sure I found it at WalMart, where I bought most of my fluorecent bulbs...top shelf and it is more like a soft ball size of bulb...not anything like a standard 60watt bulb.

I picked one up at Wal-Mart last Saturday.

Replaced 3 60watt bulbs and replaced it with a 26 watt (100watt equivalent) dimmable bulb.

Here are some pic's as promised. The last pic is of the chanalier bulb I picked up awhile ago. If you look closely the price for the DIM...dimmable is the $12.98

You should be careful Tim, they might accuse you of 'industrial espionage'

I was at Linen's 'n Things and went to take a picture of a chair I found that I like for our island with my Cell phone. I was told that I was not allowed to take pictures and would be asked to leave if I did!

I was shocked. I asked if design consultants who came in and wanted to show clients items did not take pictures and was told that it was store policy that no one is allowed to take pictures. If caught you are asked to leave.

Needless to say, I waited until I was finished browsing through the store to snap my picture and leave! :D

Tim, on an out-of-topic note, do you know that 'drinking and planting' is illegal in HV, because it is considered an unfair advantage to other HVers that can't finish the job (or do it properly) because of lack of adequate on-the-job entertainment ?

off topic reply...yes, but if you did notice, the bottles were capped  My neighbour came over and helped plant our tree & then did the wobbly pops flowed. We then proceeded to meet another neighbour who was planting a tree at the same time, was fed some more wobbly pops and helped plant another tree.... GEE, I'm beginning to like HV :D
