Nope, I don't. And I don't take public transit, or work from home either.

Nope. I drive all by myself every single day.

It's the only "alone time" I get all week.

I work from home 2 days, carpool with my wife 3 days (not sure which option to select).

Same here though I carpool to the Go Station. 5 days a week.

I drive alone to work every day. My hours aren't regimented, and I like to abuse the flexibility. Makes it tough to carpool with people.

My drive is from HVE to Derry Rd/Mississauga Rd. So as long as there is no construction* it's a 20-25 minute drive thanks to getting 90% of the lights red.

* note, there hasn't been a case of no construction on Derry Rd in the 2.5 years we've been in HVE.

Before I went on mat leave I was carpooling 3-4 days a week to the Courtney Park/Dixie area of Mississauga. I liked the fact it forced me into a structure of getting up early and leaving early. Gave me more time in the evenings than if I was left to my own devices. I was also able to bring my laptop home so if I had things to do for the next day that I wasn't able to get done I could bring it home with me. There was one day my carpool left at lunch so I'd drive myself that day, or work from home. Hope to do the same thing when I go back to work next year.

Hmmmm... not sure how I should read that.

Assuming you mean what I think you mean, that's gotta be more distracting than using a cell phone in the car! Sometimes you gotta TCB anychance you can get.

Good on ya!

I work at the same company as my OH, so technically there's two of us in the car...that counts, right?

I tried to car pool to work for about a week and found it did not work out so well due to the variable nature of times people finished. OT seemed to be the problem because it tends to happen without warning. In our case we ended up being late 3 days of the 5. Perhaps I should give it another shot as Pete does not seem to have any issues.

Overtime is certainly an issue. We have tried to have "designated overtime days" where we agree to stay longer if necessary. Of course, I have a job where I can choose the days I stay longer, that might not be an option for everyone. However, if you just need more time in a week, and can control the days that you spend that extra time, coordinated overtime works very well.
