Thank you Rick for controlling the board to make it a pleasant exchange of info again and a place to meet your neighbours. This website has been a great resource and there is no need to make it a bashing ground or negative place.

For those of you that have a problem with the locked messages, take your negativity elsewhere and let us enjoy the site again!

Have a GREAT long weekend everyone and make sure to have a beer with your neighbours...no matter who they are! :D

Andrea

No, no, no Andrea. Your 'beer with the neighbour' proposal could be dangerous. What if we can't agree who gets to pay for the beers? Who's going to moderate that ? :?

Of course I'm joking. I open heartedly invite all my heighbours to invide me share a beer with them (they get to pay, of course  )

While I don't completley disagree with what noneya is saying, as I mentioned in my message in the thread polling whether or not messages should be deleted, I don't think it's fair to accuse Rick of censorship. This is his forum that he has shared with the rest of us at his expense, both financially and time-wise.
I'm not trying to be a smart-ass by saying this, but if anyone doesn't like or accept his judgements on this, you should create your own board where you can dictate what stays and what goes. I am a moderator for a message board on our company's website, and it's a tough situation to decide what is appropriate and what isn't. As the saying goes, you can please everyone all of the time.
If anything, I applaud Rick for locking the thread as opposed to deleting it all together. It is still there to be viewed, he's just putting a merciful end to a topic that will not be resolved in this forum, nor I assume, was the purpose and spirit of this board when it was created to be one to resolve the major issues facing society.
Keep up the great work, Rick!
S.
