Our shower handle is a little loose and lately the water in this shower only has been hardly hot. Are these 2 things related and what needs to be done to fix it??

I am not a plumber (but i play one on the internet)

quite likely the two issues are related. The handle is loose so its not gripping the valve `stem' inside properly which wont let you turn up the heat.

Without seeing it up close its hard to say how its fastened . Look for a little set screw that allows you to tighten the handle onto the rest of the assembly.
