You can lose just as much weight for free. I don't know how herbal magic works, but I'm wary of anything with the word MAGIC in it.

I used U Weight loss on Bronte. They use vitamin/herbal supplements and work out meals for you that I found really easy to follow.

In the 2 months I was on program, I lost about 25 pounds, and went on to lose another 30 or so after I left the program, continuing to follow the meals. I probably would have continued to lose more, but I got pregnant!

I must be the only person in the world that tried Weight Watchers and it didn't work, but this program at U weight loss really worked for me.

Good luck to you!

Hi, My husband says I have tried all gyms in Milton to loose weight, but the one thing that did work was Weight Watchers!!! I love it. You still get to eat all you want, but just in portion control. I am a life time member but the holidays and a trip to Dominican made me gain back some weight. I have been doing the ww plus program again now for 2 days. I highly recommend ww. It works!

Here is a weight loss program that is completely free of charge, except for the food you need to buy. Prickly Pete talked about this on another post as well. Very simple program to follow.

Only eat fresh produce. That's it...anything that comes in a bag or a can or a jar or a box is off the menu. You can eat fresh broccoli, carrots, baked potato, chicken, steak, fish, ect. and use seasoning from the fresh section (fresh parsley, oregano and lemons) . There are a couple of very small exceptions: Olive Oil (no butter), coffee and wine are on the menu and feel free to use salt and pepper.

After two weeks, (no exercise) you'll notice a difference in the way your clothes fit, your weight will shed and your blood pressure will naturally be lower. It takes some planning, because you'll be looking in the fridge for something to eat for breakfast, but if you cook a big chicken the night before with seasoning, you'll eat that with a banana, apple and a pear, water and a coffee and you won't feel hungry at all. The pounds will melt away.

The salt and pepper shaker isn't killing us, it's the all the sodium we consume in processed foods - they deprive your body of nutrition and you crave more of it after a meal. That is what is making North Americans bigger. Slowly integrate physical activity into your lifestyle change (this is not a diet - there is a big difference).

+2 for weight watchers

My husband and I started the new program last week and have lost already :)

I've done WW before and it worked well... but this new program is AWESOME! Its the easiest program I've ever followed.

You can do it yourself using their online tools... however I've found that being accountable when someone else is watching (ie. someone weighs you in every week) is what really works.

I have been on Nutrisystem since November, and in 3 months I have lost 40 pds - the food is pretty good tasting, you don't starve fir anything and the convenience of it is great. My wife and I are both on it and we love it.

I am a firm advocate in doing it yourself, I was obese and got in shape, through alot of trial and error, I definitely don't believe that "injections" are the key (Bernstein) nor heavily reduced caloric diets (pretty much all diet clinics), that whole mantra "eat whatever you want in moderation" is a little false, I can eat nothing but brownie's all day, but if I stay within my caloric range, I will lose weight regardless, but am I really healthy?

That pre-packaged food isn't very good for you either, loaded with sodium and preservatives, tiny portions, low protein...I can go on and on

Basic steps:
Shop around the outer edges of the grocery store

Learn to cook

Eat meals high in protein, moderate in healthy fats, and lower in carbs

Eat the most carbs during the early parts of the day, taper off towards the night, or switch to fibrous carbs (vegetables)

WORKOUT, dieting isn't going to do anything if you don't train your body, you might lose weight, but you are losing mostly muscle mass when you continue to lead a sedentary lifestyle.

Plenty of water, supplements like fat burners can assist, but only after you have mastered basic diet and exercise

plenty of people proclaim they ever have the time, yet they sit on here posting and wasting time, all gyms have childcare services too, so you really have no excuse!

I've been trying to gain 10 lbs for the last 10 years. It's impossible.

How old are you? Maybe you just need to wait a couple years? I had 10 slices of pizza and 3 double cheeseburgers last night, so that probably helps.

Yeah, that's pretty crazy. I guess you could look at it that it's better to be a little underweight than overweight! Are you on the move all day with your job too? I think that can be a factor as well... I started to gain a bit of weight when I had a job where I was sitting in front of a computer for 8 hours a day and commuting or sitting on a couch the rest of it. That's not good weight though  I'd just be happy to have the good metabolism... mmmm... striploins!!! I love being able to eat mountains of food and then just workout like a mofo to get rid of it.

I have been trying this "Flat belly Diet" ... the basic deal is you eat 4 or 5 meals a day that is 400 calories. And if you want to follow the diet to the letter, you only Sassy water and every meal must have a MUFA in it.

I have been on the diet for 9 days now, and have lost 10lbs so far.

As long as you spend an afternoon preparing all the meals, the diet is really easy to follow.

Consider yourself lucky!

WW is good. I follow it without having to pay or visit them. I have the calculator and that's all you need.

Down 18 lbs so far in about 6 weeks now. But remember, your best friend is the gym. I do an hour cardio and then hit the weights.

You can use an online version of the WW calculator if you google it. There is also an online directory of pretty much every food and their points value. Give yourself an amount of points based on sticking around 1200 calories a day if your female, more if your male, (every 2 points is roughly 100 calories) and stay within your limits. I think you get free points every week maybe 35? so that could be an extra 5 a day. Write down everything you eat for the first bit and pretty soon you'll learn points values and be able to work stuff out in your head to know if your balanced for the day or not.
