And now it begins in earnest :)

Game 1 Vancouver wins by a single goal
Game 2 was the flukiest win of the playoffs

Game 3 it was all Boston

Expect more fun in Game 4

That game was a pain to watch and why the heck did they leave Luongo in after the fourth goal?????

Not that it made any difference but that was one crushing defeat... On to game 4.

No team goes through a tournament of this length and magnitude without some bumps along the road.

2008 Wings - Never lost a playoff game by more then 2 goals and there were only two of those.

By pulling out one comment and building a strawman with it, then proving it wrong ... I hereby nullify all your opinions. Canucks are a terrible hockey team! ;)

But you can't resist defending your finger biting, diving, late hitting canucks ...

Steve, teams lose, we all know that... even my Flames have lost less games that bad in 82 reg season games than the Canucks lost in these playoffs alone.

What I'm saying is things aren't adding up here (besides Boston's goal totals, sorry couldn't resist) a Stanley Cup champ shouldn't ever lose like that on their way to getting it.

For someone who claims to be a hockey expert, you sure don't know much. I get you're just rubbing in the a big loss, but if you think 8-1 vs 4-1 really makes a difference at that point...

This is true. In many cases losing a close game or in OT can be more devastating to a team then a blow out.

This is what pisses me off. Refs are too whistle happy - just let them play.

I agree. Let them dive, let them play and call the penalties that SHOULD be called. Trying to stop the aggression by penalty calling increases this if you ask me. It doesnt help.

Still smarting from last night but not even close to giving up hope. Vancouver is a solid team and theyve been beat like this before and come back during the season so I dont see any need to panic.

Boston is a tough team and I didnt expect them to lay down and they wont. Bring it on!

I brought up the diving bit because people have been accusing the Canucks of diving, which happens in EVERY TEAM. You will notice when the whistles go away, diving stops on all sides.

The Horton hit was wrong....way too late but why have we forgotten the number one rule in hockey....keep yer head up and look around.

The hit was wrong BUT Horton should know, as most hockey players do, that they need to know where they are. He didnt move his head after the pass and if he did, he might have noticed Rome coming in and maybe been able to take the hit better. Rome shouldve backed off...no doubt about it.

The problem with big hits like this, it can work against the team doing it. If you remember Torres hit on Chicago...what happened after that? The Hawks came back with a vengenace. Same thing here, Boston played like they were possessed and you only have to look at the score to notice that.

I know the majority of teams dive (including my Wings .. but less since Hasek retired) ... I was just having some fun with selective quoting ;)

Since that's the usual hangout for Fridays I'll most likely be there...or Symposium...

And maybe I can still squeeze into the 'nucks shirt I got in grade 8....

If you do come out to Ned's be sure to stop by and say hi. I'll be wearing my 1990's "vintage" Pavel Bure jersey.

Well if you see a 20-something blonde squeezed in a way too small jersey looking shirt feel free to send me a drink ;)
haha
