Anyone else out there have issues with their AC, or the company that installed their AC?

My one year old AC, I repeat - only 1 year old, has stopped working. Apparently the coil is garbage. The company that installed it said they would order the part and call me when they have it. That was 2 1/2 weeks ago. They have not called me back yet, and every time I call them I get the run around. Anyone else ever have to wait that long or longer?

On a good note - I'm saving lots of $$ by not using my AC...

That's why I only trust Craig Newhouse from Four Season Comfort for A/C.

+1 for Craig also. We had problems at the beginning of the season and it was fixed within a few days and he was on top of it until it was fixed.

Maybe call Craig and see if he can help. You can always see how great a company is when a problem arises. I would highly recommend you tell everyone the company to protect your neighbors.

It's a Lennonx...only a year old. Apparently it's suppose to be a 'brand new unit', but I have a feeling that they gave me a refurbished unit.

Not a local company, but they do have locations in Milton and Mississauga. Next time, I'll go with the AC companies being recommended here.

Thanks for the update. Downright bloody diabolical if you were given a reconditioned unit that was represented as new. It's that kind of deceit that makes us all uneasy, and where forums like this can be so helpful. Hope you're able to get it sorted to your satisfaction soon.

I can only reiterate what has been conveyed on this board many times over. Craig/Four Seasons is solid, decent and trustworthy.

I have seen a couple of these "refurbished" units in new homes. It's always a surprise to find a 10 year old AC unit at a 3 year old home.
In each case these things were just poorly painted in a feeble attempt to make the unit look new.

You should write down the Model and serial number of the unit and phone the manufacturer to find out when the thing was made.
