First of all, that was a great question Catherine. I've often wondered as well. I agree with Tim that I would feel uncomfortable with that myself, especially since there's no way of knowing who this person you're inviting in really is -- a possible thief scoping out your house to find out where valuables may be...? I'm sure Laura would have my head if I ever allowed some stranger in for a tour. Having said all this I understand the desire some of you have to see your houses' physical manifestation.
Tim, I also confess to walking through a couple homes lately, and was really surprised to see the doors left open after the carpet was in. Personally I took my shoes off before doing so in respect for those homeowners. (I even took them off right at the front door and went into the basement in socked feet.) We can only hope others will have the same respect for us, as I'm not kidding myself into thinking that it won't happen.

While we were waiting for the new releases back in June, we went to a lot of open houses - they have some every weekend.....just go by the Mattamy sales centre around noon and they have lots of signs posted. We got a chance to see all the models we were interested in, and even some that we weren't, but thought we'd check them out anyhow since we were in the neighbourhood!
I personally would not have the nerve to go up to someone's house and ask to see it.
I love that idea Lorraine and Joaquim. This seems to be a great way of getting the job done, but requires some effort on behalf of the potential homeowner.
Another word of advice: most of you probably know but some of you may not that Mattamy also has different model homes at other locations that go by other names but correspond with Hawthorne Village models. Call the sales office to inquire. We found ours in Brampton.
