Hi fellow Monaghan's. I have a quick questions for you all. Have you purchased your A/C system? I've read great reviews on this forum regarding Craig's company. I just would like some feedback from you all.

Thanks

Art & Monika

Craig is also doing our install, he's coming on the day after close. He seems great!

Had our PDI today. We had Christina, she is lovely!

It went really well, condensation in the basement is normal and no major problems.. just small imperfections that were either fixed on the spot or noted to be fixed.

We are very happy and can't wait for our keys 1 week from today!!!

Finished PDI today. Just some imperfections in the wall which was mudded right there in front of me. Also dented garage door which will be addressed this week. Also cracked window (lol) which is already on order as they noticed it before I did. Nothing major, cant wait to move in. Thanks for the visit and first doorbell ring Cristy!!

Congratulations! Was everything completely done? Did they remove the building materials from your lot?

We drove by last night, and there were a lot more people dropping by the houses to check them out. We would have dropped by your place Christy, but you guys looked busy, and happily tired. :) Happy first weekend in your new home.

*sigh* everyone on this thread is SO quiet, but that's only because I know of at least 6 Monaghaners who are lurking  ...and of course, we're all probably madly packing and/or wrapping up things on our current living situations. Only 3 more months for us!

For those who have their keys. How was the move-in and your first nights on Monaghan? Is it busy/dusty during the day with all the construction?

Hey Vin_Mer .. it's busy AND dusty and soooo much work!! We are exhausted..

A few recommendations:

Get the A/C immediately as having windows open is just BRUTAL and it is a hot one this summer.

Get your your blinds in right away.. it's lovely when you're taking a break and lounging on your couch when a worker or big dump truck drives right by your window... Hello!

To any dog owners.. get your dog shaved right down as the dust really sticks into their hair.. my white dog, is now yellow.

One more thing... I suggest hiring movers. We had a moving truck and ended up keeping it for 2 days.. it was a lot of work and movers may have only been maybe a couple hundred bucks more.... sooo worth it!

The first time we moved to a construction zone is was fun and exciting.. this time it's just annoying as hell.

Good luck!

Hi Cristy!

Thanks for the response! We have our AC being installed on the second day and I am currently setting up appointments for estimates for our shutters. I'm trying to avoid the use of paper blinds.... How is nap time for your little one, does the construction noise keep her up?
