Itchy Bee, 3 meters at the front is inadequate to park a car, I guess the best bet is to visit the town office to get the final picture.

Have you seen the Mattamy and Arista homes on Scott? You can just abou fit a sedan on the driveway...tight, but it works; I think Colin's comments are on point

I agree with all of you - 3 metres in the front is inadequate, especially for parking a truck. We could fit two cars deep at our old house in Brampton and are finding it a bit tough to get used to the 3 metres...

In terms of the siting, if the services are in and foundations poured, the water key should be there and you should be able to see where the front of your garage will be, which will give you a rough idea of driveway length (depends on sidewalk/no sidewalk in front of your house). Stakes or iron bars should be at the back lot, but may be buried by dirt, debris and other construction crap, but will tell you how deep your yard will be.

Best of Luck!

Too bad then.

Hi Doil7777

The grading work is part of the agreement between the Town and Intracorp Homes to have the site ready for a park. The Town will be undertaking park planning as part of the 2012 Capital Budget in consultation with area residents for both the Neighbourhood park at the present corner of Tremaine and Main St. W. and the new District park on the north side of the new Main St. W. between the creek valley and Scott Blvd.

Public input is required to work out the details of the park plan and what facilities are needed there similar to the new Optimist park on Savoline Blvd. south of Derry road and the Scott north neighbourhood park which is on the east side of Scott Blvd. opposite the woodlot in the heathwood Homes area.

In case you have not seen the notices and town website there is an application by Durland Properties for a retail area at the south-west corner of Tremaine and the new Main St. W. traffic circle where the Intracorp Homes sales office is now. The meeting is a week Monday on July 18th at 7 pm in the Council Chambers on the second floor of the older part of the Town Hall.

There will be more details on this initial report next Thursday night when the agenda is released.

Local & regional councillor
Wards 2,3,4,5 North of Derry road.

Hey Doil7777,

Would you mind providing me with the information as to who at Intracorp sent you that letter? I've since moved and didn't think to let them know and didn't consider receiveing future correspondence from them.

Thanks,

Ruben

Hmmmmm. A gas station and a car wash !!!! Guys , whadya think, is it good or bad ??? I might take a positive view, if they include a Tim Hortons in it...lol.

Other than preferring a Starbucks.... Could be nice to have nearby.

What about really tall lights and other things that could be of annoyance?

How does a plaza work out so close to a traffic circle? As long as drive thru cars don't block the road like a few other places in town.

Btw, I have received a letter from Intrcorp, with the attached " Warning Clauses and/or Restrictive Covenants. Seems like this is the agreement between Intracorp(tenants) and the Town of Milton. It states here that the District park will have " major indoor fascilities", could this facility be termed as a Community centre, with swimming pools, ice rinks and others ??

I too got this letter. In essence it's your legal warning/heads up about things people complain about once they move in. Canada post mailboxes, utilities boxes, sound barriers, easements, houses on woodlots that may get paths.
Pass it onto your lawyers after reading it.

HI Colin,

Thanks so much for commenting on this thread, you've been a great source of info.

Question - when you say public input in needed, when/where is this done?

Also, when you say South-West corner do you mean South-East? The small area included in intracorps development no? or do you mean in addition to?

Thanks again
