good for them, that wont last forever though. as always the last guys in trying to do that will get caught with their pants down and have 5 houses they have to carry or sell off at a loss.

dangerous game but you dont win if you dont take a risk or two.

I think it's going to go on for awhile though.

I think as long as you have these gangbuster lineups, the following year its not going to be dead and you can gamble. When there's no lineup, then watchout!

Has anyone seen Mattamy's assembly line yet?

Didn't Mattamy stop building those types of homes or are they back to factory built?

Im watching them build them everyday from scratch. No prefab houses in the 'On The Park' development.

 So now they are going to create a line up for registration.

Wow, if this happens... they have a very very good marketing team.

Whoa, is it just me, or have kitchens come a long way over the last decade? Back when I bought back in the original HV (ward 6), I don't recall seeing anything quite like that in the model homes or at the design studio.

That's quite nice.

hahaha bremer, animal spirits buddy. i wonder how many irrational choices will be made in those sales rooms?

I’m sure a few. If you want the best lot, you had better figure out which one it is before somebody else snaps it up.

Just my preference, but I’d never go for the new home. I’m a premium lot lover, so I’d have to line up to get one and get caught up in that rat race.

…Then you have to wait two years. THEN you have live in a mud pit while they get your driveway sidewalks and grass in. THEN you have to hope your neighbor isn’t a cheap prick and goes in on a fence with you. And for all that waiting, you get to paint the entire house from top to bottom because half a million dollars isn’t enough money to get any builder to offer more choice than cheap white, cheap off white, and cheap sorta white paint.

I guess for some people, the savings you get from living with/through all this is worth it for them.

The savings is worth it for us. Dont mind all those negatives you mentioned when it saved us $100,000 in a year.
