Hi all,

I was hoping someone would be able to direct me to the bylaw which outlines the appropriate grading at the fence line between properties.

My new neighbour has done some major gardening/landscaping since she moved in last month (her backyard faces the side of my house). We have a shared/common wooden fence, which she has built the soil up against, so that at the fence line, the elevation on her side of the property is at least 4 inches higher than on my side. This is also the side of my house where the sump pump is, and now i do see some pooling in that area, which has never happened before.

Does anyone know if I have a case here to discuss with my neighbour to get this rectified? And direction towards the correct bylaw would be truly appreciated! I would love to have this resolved asap, and def before we get any further rain.

Thanks in advance.
:)
