So...last night was a tad breezy.

Our house in about 10 years old now (resale), we have a huge window in the master bedroom that has creaked a little in the strongest winds for a little while (almost like the sliding part is shifting a little with the force).

Last night, the drywall next to the window started creaking with the wind and there is a nailpop this morning...that's probably not good.

We're going to get someone out to take a look at it - my concerns: if wind is getting in to the point that it's moving drywall, water is also coming in. Plus the window is probably not as secure as it should be.

Any recommendations/advice?

You are right.

If wind is effecting the drywall in the house then it's very likely that water has also been getting into that area, maybe for years.

A 10 year old home is well overdue for a thorough caulking job.

If the window is installed on a wall with siding, stucco, or hardboard, then it is even more vulnerable to wind driven rain.

Windows installed on brick walls hold up better because they are set back into the brick wall.

To make matter worse, many windows installed by some builders on siding are missing a drip cap flashing detail at the top of the window frame. While this is not a code violation, it is a very poor way to install windows and an even worse place to save the $5. cost of this detail.

The drip cap at the top of the window frame diverts water out and away from the window.
