Since the latest post was from a year ago I start this one on recommending National Landscape.

We came across their flyer last year and requested a quote for front porch cover, front and back yard walkway. They got the contract and completed the work last October.
We've been told by other contractors that we are quite finicky  so to give Peter and his company a 10 out of 10 is a huge thing.
First, he showed up on time for providing us with a quote. His quote was competitive, he took his time assessing what needed to be done, made suggestions that suited the landscape and our desired outcome.
A week before the agreed start date he confirmed that he was coming.
All the material and his tools arrived 1 or 2 days prior to start date.
He and his crew showed up early morning, on time as agreed and worked very efficiently with minimum amount of disruption to us.
The invoice amount at the end of the work was exactly what we agreed to.
Before leaving, they made sure they cleaned up their garbage, swept our driveway, and hosed down our rock garden to remove the dust.
Just two days ago we got a follow-up letter from them saying that their work has a 2 year warranty and that he was inspecting the work and will come back for adjustments or fixes once the bad weather is over.
PM me if you want the address to see their work.
Kathy

I don't know, there was mention about some hairline cracks but I have not noticed anything. Then again, I have not been in our backyard since the end of November so between then and now flagstones may have shifted, I have no idea. He visited his last year's work just to do a walkaround so he may have noticed something that wasn't up to his standard. Just the mere fact that he stands by his work is like a breath of fresh air.

I'm sorry, why are you asking? To me this sounds like you are in the landscaping business and want to find "cracks" in their work.
Yes, they poured concrete in the front. The backyard flagstones are in a gravel bed.

Any further inquiries, please PM me.

I wouldn't assume that because someone is asking questions about the workmanship of a company that they are in the landscaping business. As I'm sure you wouldn't want anyone to assume that because you seem defensive about the questions being asked that maybe you own or work for National Landscape.

No, neither I nor my husband have any affiliation with National Landscape, you can search our posts (we use our real names, share real info so we don't hide behind aliases).
The only reason I got defensive is because it did happen in the past when people bashed on a competitor's service so I just got suspicious. That's all.
But that's why I posted that if someone have specific questions or concerns they can PM us and even come by to see.
I thought posting our positive experience would help others making a decision.

Anyone got a phone number for these guys? Seems they do a ton of work in town, but I don't see a listing for Peter anywhere.

So was the work not done properly initially? Is that why he's coming back? I mean it's cool that he is coming back to fix issues but it just seems weird to me... almost like he knows stuff will go wrong. Most places will do a good job and have confidence in the quality of their work. They come back if there is an identified issue that was unanticipated. This is not like irrigation systems where they have to clear the lines when they open or close a season.

Maybe there's hairline cracks because of freezing and thawing over the winter ppl... since it's a new install he's saying he'll come back and check things after it's settled???

I'd like to hear more about the actual work in a review though. Crews SHOULD be on time and clean up after they're done, that is like basic stuff... not impressive. I like to see photographs of the finished product rather than taking people's word for what is 'good'

Sorry about the delay, I've been a bit under the weather so wasn't checking in as often as I usually do.

Here is the number: (905) 877-2793
We dealt with Peter Jankowski, National Landscape, 58 Johnson Crescent, Georgetown.

I hope this helps.

Kathy
